It’s the famous Ocean Seafood Restaurant. This place is crowded with many who have heard of their famous char siew and yummylicious food. We actually made a reservation in advance and we RESERVED the CHAR SIEW a week in advance too! Yup, that’s how coveted it is. I remember we loved it so much and wanted to order more but that was it!!
The char siew is done perfectly. Nicely burnt on the outside with that distinct smell and taste. The inside is tender with just the right amount of fat. And the gravy is just to die for. Not too starchy and not too watery. Just perfect.
The Assam fish was another highlight. It was a freshly cooked promphet with a generous serving of assam curry. Just the right amount of sour, sweet and spice. Loved it!!
The eggplant dish was very tasty too. Can’t quite recall how it tasted but I remembered finishing the dish! It was prepared with spicy minced pork and the gravy was delicious!
The food here is really amazing and worth making the effort for. I say this because you really should call in advance and book enough char siew for you do not wish to be disappointed. Trust me. The place is quite well located although a tad hard to find if you were on foot and unfamiliar.
